Pomona

Why Pomona Residents Choose Puente House

Pomona is a city with grit, heart, and history, and so are the people we serve. We’ve had residents from Holt Ave to Ganesha Hills, and from Lincoln Park to Phillips Ranch.

Many came after completing treatment at facilities such as Prototypes or after leaving the hospital at Pomona Valley. Others just knew they needed a reset, and didn’t want to go it alone.

That’s where Covina comes in. Covina gives you space without isolation. Think tree-lined neighborhoods near Citrus Avenue, meetings all over town, peaceful spots like Covina Park to clear your head, and enough mom-and-pop restaurants to keep your post-meeting dinner rotation interesting.

Plus, the community here? Tight-knit and recovery-friendly. People in Covina still say hi when you walk down the sidewalk, and you’ll find AA, NA, and alumni meetings practically every day of the week, many within walking distance of our homes.

Sober Living Covina CA

This Isn’t a Halfway House. This is a Whole New Start.

Puente House is a network of sober living homes designed to support men and women as they transition out of rehab, outpatient treatment, or a tough chapter in life. We’re not clinical. We’re community-based. And every person under our roof matters.

Whether you’re commuting to Cal Poly Pomona, working over in Claremont, or taking the Foothill Transit to IOP, you’ll feel supported every step of the way. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Fully furnished rooms in residential neighborhoods
  • Shared kitchens, stocked essentials, and weekly house meetings
  • Strong Wi-Fi and space to study or work
  • A zero-tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol—because sobriety is the priority
  • A group of peers who understand what you’re walking through

A Day in the Life

Morning: Wake up in a clean, quiet home. Sip your coffee, read something inspiring, and head out for work or a meeting.

Midday: Maybe it’s therapy, a class at Mt. SAC, or a shift at your new job. You’re making moves.

Evening: Come home, check in, share dinner with the house, and unwind with your recovery fam over some solid conversation (or maybe a little Netflix, we’re human, after all).

FAQ

Is Puente House affordable? What’s included in the cost?

Yes, our sober living homes are designed to be genuinely affordable. That means utilities, Wi-Fi, shared amenities, peer support, structure, and house meetings, all included. No surprise “program fees” that make you wish you’d just rented an apartment.

Do you offer separate housing for men and women?

We do. Our homes are designed with a gender-specific approach, prioritizing safety, comfort, and recovery. Both environments offer the same structure and support.

Can I keep my job and attend school while living at Puente House?

Absolutely. Many of our residents work, go to school, or volunteer during their stay. We support productivity, as long as you’re also prioritizing your recovery and household responsibilities.

How do I apply or learn more?
