What makes Puente House different from a halfway house?

Here’s a good article about the difference between a sober living house and a halfway house: https://soberlivingnorthtexas.com/sober-living-vs-halfway-house/. Overall, a sober living house is a structured environment with fewer restrictions. There is a live-in manager at a sober living house, as well as house rules and friends who are dealing with similar issues as you. Think peer support and community vibes.

Do you accept both men and women, and are the programs separate?

Yes, we accept both men and women, and we have separate homes for each. We do not have homes that house both men and women at the exact location.
